Maybe you have already picked up on the news that we are back in business. After building and eventually selling the leading recruitment agency for consulting and M&A in The Netherlands we initially went our separate ways for a while.

It turned out all three of us missed the game and the inspiring conversations and cooperation with clients and candidates. And – yes, this is a bit cheesy – we missed eachother; after working together for ~15 years.

Executive search for consulting, M&A and PE


As you probably remember we believe in the power of focus. That has always been our driving force. Only with focus you are able to build new projects on top of a strong foundation of all previous ones. And that is the most important successfactor in executive search. Of course having a great process in place helps, but eventually it is the ablility to tap into the most relevant contacts that defines the best outcomes.

In the last 20 years we built a solid network of people in consulting and M&A. And of course as time went by all of us got more and more senior. That is why EVVL focuses on director and partner searches in consulting, M&A and private equity. And only that.

Our 20 year trackrecord and network

Since 2000 we were involved in 1.000+ transfers in our niche. The result? We probably have the best network in the industry… This network forms the basis of our executive search approach. It provides unrivalled access to the proverbial crown princes and princesses of the industry. And discrete introductions at leading employers. We would be delighted to tell you more about it. EVVL has successfully closed ~10 searches in a short period of time. So we are on a roll. That is because we mostly connected with candidates that we have known for years (you know who you are). As said, we have invested years in building our network. Already knowing what makes people tick saves a lot of time. Time we can now spend on in-depth discussions on the potential fit with a position (in stead of chasing people on LinkedIn).

Currently we are working on:

  • Managing Partner for the new Amsterdam office of a European M&A boutique, and in the slipstream several Directors.
  • Partners that will be starting up a new TS/FDD business for a boutique M&A firm
  • Practice leaders (Director level) for several boutique advisory firms, focussing on e.g. Energy, Healthcare, Public Sector, Consumer Products, Financial Services.
  • Partners for the Tech division of an international consulting firm
  • Directors M&A and Transaction Services for a big 4 firm.

Two new service offerings

1. Helping consulting/M&A firms enter the Dutch market

We have helped several international firms enter the Dutch market. These searches prove to be extremely challenging. It involves a bit of risk for everyone. But then again: with risk come rewards :-). We have a 100% successrate up till now.

We are reaching out actively to international consulting and M&A firms as we speak (or write in this case). Next to support in finding their NL leadership team, we also advise them on location, financial and legal partners.

2. Helping PE to identify buy-and-build take-overs in consulting

In addition we are supporting an international private equity firm with their search for buy-and-build take-overs in the NL consulting space. Very exciting stuff! Aligning nicely with our own experience of builing and selling a business.
